SCOPE NOTE
- Inscriptions are the written texts with which their creators imprinted their thoughts on objects made of stone, metal, wood, clay, glass, ivory, textiles, gems and coins. In antiquity, inscriptions were used as a means to publish public and private documents in the public, private and religious life.
