Ένα δεύτερο πεδίο έρευνας της βιοηθικής επικεντρώνεται σε ευρύτερα ζητήματα κοινωνικής δικαιοσύνης στον χώρο της υγείας (λ.χ. δίκαιη κατανομή της παροχής περίθαλψης). Ένα τρίτο πεδίο έρευνας αφορά στα ηθικά ζητήματα που εγείρονται λόγω της καινούριας γνώσης και των τεχνολογικών εξελίξεων στη βιολογία (π.χ. χαρτογράφηση του ανθρώπινου γονιδιώματος, κλωνοποίηση)."@el, "Subfield of ethics that concerns the ethical issues arising in medicine and from advances in biological science (genetics, biotechnology etc). One central area of bioethics is the ethical issues that arise in relations between health care professionals and patients (i.e. truth-telling, confidentiality, physician-assisted suicide, euthanasia).
