Φρόντιζαν για κάθε τι αναφερόμενο στην εν λόγω πανήγυρη, ήταν υπεύθυνοι για την φύλαξη του Παρθενώνα και των λατρευτικών αντικειμένων και αφιερωμάτων του. Επίσης, φύλαγαν τους κατά φυλές καταλόγους των πολιτών. Τον 5ο αι. π.Χ. ανατέθηκε σε αυτούς η φύλαξη των περισσευμάτων του κρατικού προϋπολογισμού και η εκτέλεση πληρωμών για τα οικοδομικά έργα της Ακρόπολης."@el, "An office that occurs in ancient Athens.
