  skos:scopeNote "Cross-community migration consists of selected individuals and groups leaving one community and moving to join another community. This pattern is followed universally by humans, and rarely by other species: language communication among humans provides the basic reason for this distinct pattern of migration. All human communities experience out-migration by members of their population who go to other communities. The migrants leave their home communities for various reasons – to benefit the home community, to benefit themselves, to escape the home community, or because they have been forcibly removed. At the same time, the home community accepts in-migrants from other communities for either a short or long time. The rates and directions of migration may vary significantly, but the practice is universal among humans."@en, "Η διακοινοτική μετανάστευση συνίσταται στη μετακίνηση ορισμένων ατόμων και ομάδων από μια κοινότητα προκειμένου να ενταχθούν σε μια άλλη. Η διαδικασία αυτή είναι οικουμενική για τους ανθρώπους και πολύ σπάνια ακολουθείται από άλλα είδη: η γλωσσική επικοινωνία μεταξύ των ανθρώπων αποτελεί τον βασικό λόγο ύπαρξης αυτού του διακριτού μοτίβου μετανάστευσης. Όλες οι ανθρώπινες κοινότητες έχουν την εμπειρία της εξωτερικής μετανάστευσης από μέλη του πληθυσμού τους που πηγαίνουν σε άλλες κοινότητες. Οι μετανάστες φεύγουν για διάφορους λόγους –προς όφελος της οικείας κοινότητας ή δικό τους, για να δραπετεύσουν από την οικεία κοινότητα ή επειδή έχουν αποβληθεί βίαια από αυτήν.
