  skos:scopeNote "H αττική κωμωδία, δραματικό είδος με διονυσιακές καταβολές (προέρχεται από τη λέξη κώμος, πομπή προς τιμή του Διονύσου) αντλεί τα θέματά της από την καθημερινή ζωή, την κοινωνική και πολιτική πραγματικότητα, ενώ, σε αντίθεση με την τραγωδία, έχει μεγάλη ελευθερία ως προς δομή. Ιδιαίτερα δομικά στοιχεία της είναι ο Αγών και η Παράβαση. Τα μέλη του Χορού φορούσαν μάσκες και κρατούσαν φαλλούς εκτελώντας μια αστεία και άσεμνη όρχηση που ονομαζόταν κόρδαξ. Διακρίνεται στην αρχαία (τέλη 5ου αιώνα π.Χ.), κατεξοχήν πολιτική που καυτηρίαζε τα πολιτικά πράγματα της εποχής, τη μέση (αρχές 4ου αιώνα π.Χ.) και τη νέα (4ος-3ος αιώνας π.Χ.), οι οποίες εστίασαν στον οικογενειακό βίο και τη μελέτη χαρακτήρων."@el, "Attic comedy, a dramatic genre with Dionysian origins (from the word Κomos, a procession in honour of god Dionysos), draws inspiration from everyday life, the social and political reality and is -unlike tragedy- characterised by considerable freedom regarding the form. Distinctive structural elements of attic comedy are the Agon and the Parabassis. The members of the choruses wore masks and held phalluses performing a comic and obscene dance called Kordax. It is divided into the old (end of the 5th century BCE) that was highly political, the middle (beginning of the 4th) and the new (4th-3rd century BCE) comedy, the latter two focusing on family life and character study."@en ;
