SCOPE NOTE

  • The narrative technique in which story-time and narrative-time are conventionally considered identical (this is usually the case in dialogue). Narrative time corresponds to the story's time. Dialogue is often regarded as the best example of scene: the narrator virtually ‘disappears’ here.
