SCOPE NOTE
- A privilege granted to foreigners in ancient Athens. Prosodos was the right of a foreigner or a group of people from another city to appear directly before the Council and the Assembly without the offices of an intermediary. The grant of this privilege was registered in the honorific decree which recorded the resolution of the Assembly.
