BROADER CONCEPT
SCOPE NOTE
- Displacement of all the members of a community. Humans do not have a universal pattern of community migration. Some communities – nomadic communities, as we call them – do migrate habitually, often adopting the habits of the animals they have come to domesticate or hunt. Another pattern is that of whole communities migrating in order to flee a natural disaster such as famine or a human disaster such as expulsion from their homeland.
