SCOPE NOTE
- Acute outbreaks of influenza, an infectious disease that affects mainly the respiratory system and may have serious complications or even lead to death. Most known among the influenza epidemics is the 1918-1919 Spanish influenza, which developed into a pandemic and caused the death of millions across the planet.
