SCOPE NOTE
- Christians who follow one of the pre-Chalcedonian Oriental Orthodox Churches, which form a distinct ecclesiastical communion. Oriental Orthodox Christians recognize only the first three Ecumenical Councils. As to the Christological issue, they follow the dogma of miaphysitism.
