SCOPE NOTE
- Specialisation in the theory, practice, and services concerning the use of thermal springs for therapy and wellness. The formation of a thermalist theory and practice dates back to Greco-Roman antiquity. Since the 19th century, thermalism was organised medicinally and became a distinct category of therapeutic treatments for several ilnesses and of wellness tourism.
