SCOPE NOTE
- Monarchies ruled by a king. Kingdoms are one of the most ancient forms of state organisations, and may be tribal states, city-states, feudal states, absolutist states and even parliamentary nation-states, in which the role of the king is mainly ceremonial and symbolic.
