ΔΙΕΥΚΡΙΝΙΣΤΙΚΗ ΣΗΜΕΙΩΣΗ
- Magistrates in ancient Athens. They were ten, five for the city and five for Piraeus. Their duty was to ensure the validity of weights and measures in the market. Although we have no direct evidence regarding how these officials enforced the law, it seems likely that they could impose fines up to a specific limit and bring suits just like other market officials.
