ΠΡΟΤΙΜΩΜΕΝΟΣ ΟΡΟΣ

ΠΛΑΤΥΤΕΡΟΙ ΟΡΟΙ
ΔΙΕΥΚΡΙΝΙΣΤΙΚΗ ΣΗΜΕΙΩΣΗ
- A short syllable is the one whose vowel is short, provided that after the vowel there follows either a simple consonant or nothing at all. It should be noted that in ancient Greek metrics there is no grammatical rule of emphasis that prescribes that specific diphthongs are considered as short when they are at the end of an unprecedented inflected word.
