ΔΙΕΥΚΡΙΝΙΣΤΙΚΗ ΣΗΜΕΙΩΣΗ
- Dramatic genre of the ancient Greek drama featuring the chorus of satyrs, who typically performed a dance that was guided by Silenus. It had a comic plot and a happy ending, it mocked persons and satirised mythological themes from the preceding tragedies. Satyr plays were shorter than tragedies and used the metre more freely. They were performed after the trilogies of tragedies in the drama festivals.
